Welcome. Cora Korng is a mom, artist and health care worker who is deeply passionate about the arts and issues pertaining to gender and racial equality. Her family migrated from Cambodia to the U.S when she was a toddler, but like many refugees of that era, she was born in a refugee camp in a remote location in Thailand. Her parents met at the refugee camp, when trying to escape the Pol Pot regime of Cambodia.
Because of her ethnic background, Cora has her own YouTube channel exploring themes and identity of being a Cambodian American female, a rare niche in a diverse American landscape. Despite efforts by people in this community to fit in, Southeast Asian women tend to struggle more because they fall into more than one category of marginalization.
Previous acting credits include Definition (dir: Rubing Zhang), Chrysalis (dir: Hugh DiMauro), Playland by (dir: Georden West) and Cho (dir: August Aguilar). Cora has also been in various community theater productions and commercials.
Cora’s past and present hobbies include CrossFit, martial arts, skiing, ice-skating, yoga, etc… She currently lives with her son and parrot.
